Jennifer Parmenter – Myofascial Pain Specialist

I am a Myofascial Pain Specialist and utilize a broad array of modalities and manual therapy techniques to treat pain. My training includes Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, Active Isolated Stretching and Orthopedic Massage. Beginning with a thorough health history, assessment and postural analysis, combined with identifying your goals for treatment, together we will create a plan to address your needs. To reinforce the work, I may incorporate Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), along with self-care activities to create a comprehensive treatment plan.

I have been fortunate to study with many leaders in the field of advanced manual therapy including Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy with Stew Wild, Neuromuscular Therapy with Judith DeLany, Clinical Orthopedic Manual Therapy with Joe Musculino, Aaron Matte’s Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) with Ben Benjamin, Advanced Orthopedic Massage with James Waslaski, Breathing Pattern Disorders with Leon Chaitow, and Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy with Mary Biancalana and many others at the annual National Association of Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists (NAMTPT) national conference.

My professional affiliations include the NAMTPT (National Association for Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists), the Fascia Research Society, the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association), and NCBTMB (National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork). I am honored to have served on the Executive Committee for the NAMTPT for two years.
